About
is a business and economic intelligence platform for the Gulf and Iraq — Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Iraq — published in Arabic and English.
It is built on records rather than articles. The Intelligence section holds structured, verified entries: country profiles, major companies, sovereign wealth funds, and economic and labour-market indicators. Each figure is stored with its value, unit, period, source, source link, source date and verification status, and is shown with that provenance. Sources & Methodology lists the sources uses and how records are verified.
also carries a narrow news selection — business, the politics that moves it, and artificial intelligence. That coverage is reported and published by ontime+, the newsroom shares its editors with; every story names it and links to the original. News supports the record here. It does not replace it.
Publisher
is an independent platform registered in the United States. It answers to no government, party or corporate owner, and nothing in its news or data sections is paid for or placed.

Artificial intelligence
AI is an editing and processing layer at . It is not a source of facts, and it does not carry a byline.
What it does: translates between Arabic and English, summarises, classifies stories by sector and country, matches coverage and figures to the entities they belong to, drafts entity summaries from records already stored and verified, and powers a search that reads a question rather than matching its words.
What it does not do: produce a figure, a date, a quotation or a name. Every number on arrives from an identified source, carries that provenance on the page, and is published only after an editor has verified it. Nothing reaches the reader on a machine's authority alone.
Ask answers from 's verified records and approved coverage only, and shows the sources behind each answer. When the data is not there it says so rather than filling the gap: an answer it cannot source is an answer it does not give.
When any of this goes wrong it is a correction like any other, and it is ours. The editors named above are accountable for everything the system publishes.
Images
Our approach to images is minimal: less is more. An image here usually expresses the idea of an event rather than its scene, and colour carries meaning — a single, unambiguous field of it most of all.
Where a photograph is necessary, we publish it as it is, or after treatment that serves the reading: a collage, a crop closer or wider, a changed angle — according to the event and the detail that deserves the attention. We do not change what a photograph says about the world: nothing is added that was not there, and nothing removed that alters its meaning.
An image that expresses an idea is never presented as a record of an event.
Corrections
We correct in the open. When a story is wrong we fix it and say what changed and when; we do not quietly rewrite. When a figure is wrong, the correction is made in the record itself, and the record carries a new source date and last-updated stamp so the change is visible on the page where the number appears.
To report an error, write to the editor with a link to the page. Corrections are read before anything else in the inbox.
